YRAH Bday GIVEAWAY: Book Of Choice or a HarperCollins Title

YOUNG READER blog is now 2 years old!

And

THAT

calls for a celebration!

Don't forget to check out the previous posts

I'm going to talk about the journey of this blog in this post before I get to the giveaway because I think I need to document it somewhere.

I'd started blogging in 2009
I used it as a personal forum and posted ONCE in 3/6 months.
I actually blogged on this portal only .
This site was called Krazzyme-krool and I used to post random posts with bad grammar and lots of exclamation points (I still use lots of exclamation points though :P)

Then I joined Goodreads and I discovered the wonderful world of book blogs!
I believe the FIRST book blog I visited was Reading Teen  . They introduced me to the concept of book blogs and giveaways.

So I converted this blog into a book blog and renamed it. I wanted the URL to be youngreader but that wasn't available so I called it youngreadersathome
(Something I'm not too happy with right now because it's a little too long!)

I'm a lazy person so my first review on the blog was basically just copied from Goodreads.

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

AND I got my first follower via GFC . Her name was Jenny and she had a white flower as her Google profile image. Thank you Jenny! I wish you would have commented sometime and if you're reading this you have my undying gratitude.

At first I used to post sporadically and used to post more about giveaways being hosted on other blogs than  my own thoughts on books (ONLY excuse I was lazy and I thought nobody was reading the blog )

Then I was part of a giveaway hop hosted by I am a Reader  and suddenly I had almost a 100 followers and they were actually READING what I was writing.

I pulled up my socks and started posting a more regularly and tried my best to make my reviews informative and interesting.

So basically the difference is because of
YOU GUYS!

My awesome readers and followers!
YOU MOTIVATE ME and ENCOURAGE ME to do better!

The motivation also comes from the numerous amazing blogs that I read . They're so well written and so informative. I am completely in AWE of them!

I don't want to point out any specific blog because there ARE TOO MANY! Many of them are ones which I don't read often because I feel TOO jealous and I get depressed because they're just SO MUCH better than my tiny blog.

You rock fellow BOOK BLOGGERS!
*give yourself a pat on the back from my side *

I HOPE ALL of you keep supporting my blog in various ways and keep encouraging me for many more years .

THANK YOU ALL!

READERS

YOU'RE THE REASON behind the longevity of  YOUNG READERS!

and to thank you I want to do a
